The Clarion Area Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 59-18 win over East Forest at home. Considering Clarion Area has won four matchups by more than 24 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Clarion Area's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lacey Lauer, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Kline, who scored 12 points.
The win was the third in a row for Clarion Area, bringing their record for this year to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for East Forest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Clarion Area will head out on the road to face off against North Clarion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Forest, they will be playing at home against Keystone at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
