Willowbrook extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-3. They came up short against the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack, falling 12-2. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.
Willowbrook got a good showing from Noah Edison, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Alek Ramey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bonino, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 7.5 runs per game.
On Saint Ignatius College Prep's side, Christopher Chittaro looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
On the hitting side, Saint Ignatius College Prep got a massive performance out of Jaiden Ponce, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Ponce has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Oscar Molloy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Coming up, Willowbrook will venture away from home to take on Montini Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will welcome Hoffman Estates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
