Eagle Rock extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 win over the Franklin Panthers. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Panthers on their field since October 19, 2018.

Eagle Rock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Liam Pasten out in front who threw for 290 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. Melion Busano helped Pasten out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and one touchdown, while also catching one score.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Busano, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

As for Franklin, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. It was the first time this season that they let down their fans at home.

Despite the loss, Franklin still got an impressive performance from Albert Cardenas, who threw for 382 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards on only nine carries. Kennedy Cleveland was another key player, picking up 189 receiving yards.

Eagle Rock has already played their next game, a 49-7 win against Wilson on the 24th. As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 55-21 loss against St. Monica on the 24th.
