The St. Lucy's Regents's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Rancho Cucamonga 67-2. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Lucy's has scored all season.
St. Lucy's has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.
St. Lucy's will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Etiwanda knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 contests -- so hopefully the Regents like a good challenge. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Highlanders/Scots at 4:45 p.m. Upland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Cougars are ranked 140th).
