Coventry Christian lost against the Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Coventry Christian suffered a rough 52-27 defeat at the hands of the Warriors.
Despite the defeat, Coventry Christian saw an underclassman step up: Caitlin Cianci scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Cianci has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played. Abby McCafferty was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five blocks.
Coventry Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
Coventry Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dayspring Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Lancaster County Christian's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
