Baseball Recap: Lassen Wins Going Away Against Modoc

While Lassen put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Modoc. The Grizzlies blew past the Braves 10-0. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Gaven Mueller and Jaxon George were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mueller pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, George didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Mueller went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while George went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Mueller has become a key player for Lassen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, Landon Kirack was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Lassen's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Modoc, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lassen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Reed on the 16th. As for Modoc, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against St. Bernard's on the 11th.
