Golden has gone a perfect 10-0 against Green Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Demons will host the Rams at 10:00 a.m.
Golden is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering D'Evelyn just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The Demons were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Jaguars' pitcher proved too tough.
Daely Peterson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 21-3 win. Considering the Rams have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenna Neuenschwander made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in September of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Linnea Iversen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Dalilah Camacho, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Green Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.
Golden's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Green Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Everything went Golden's way against Green Mountain when the teams last played on September 9th, as Golden made off with a 9-3 win. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
