After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, Scripps Ranch was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Hesperia Scorpions with a sharp 65-42 victory. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Scripps Ranch was led to victory by Clare Valentine and Ree Ree Davis. Valentine dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards, while Davis went 6 of 15 on her way to 20 points and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Valentine has scored at least a third of Scripps Ranch's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katrina Purcell, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Hesperia lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brooke Seeger, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 18 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Seeger has posted since back in January of 2024. Jocelyne Lerma was another key player, going 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points.

Scripps Ranch's record is now 7-5. As for Hesperia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Scripps Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-47 win against Mira Mesa on the 10th. As for Hesperia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-36 victory against Serrano on the 7th.
