The Elsie Allen Lobos typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Rancho Cotate Cougars proved too difficult a challenge. They breezed by the Lobos on the road to the tune of 71-44. With Rancho Cotate ahead 49-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Rancho Cotate can attribute much of their success to Xenia Zabaneh, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Zabaneh continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Janice Williams, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Rancho Cotate has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Elsie Allen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-4.
