After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ola, Jones County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Hampton Hornets get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Jones County got a massive performance out of Noah Robinson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Robinson has posted since March 5th. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Scarbary, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Jones County's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-5. As for Hampton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
