Mt. Zion lost against Trion back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mt. Zion Eagles came up short against the Trion Bulldogs, falling 10-1. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Trion, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Trion beat Mt. Zion by a score of 15-0 later that day.
