Parkway Central came out on top against Northwest on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Colts took their contest against the Lions 8-4. The victory was nothing new for the Colts as they're now sitting on three straight.
Marlee Williamson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Williamson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Aubrey Lewis was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Olivia Magruder, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
