Litchfield are packing up and hiking across state lines for their matchup on Tuesday. They will challenge Melrose on the road at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Litchfield now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Litchfield came within a touchdown against Glencoe-Silver Lake last Wednesday, but wound up with a 20-27 loss.
Meanwhile, Melrose were able to grind out a solid win over Burlington, winning 41-33.
Melrose's victory lifted them to 4-3 while Litchfield's defeat dropped them down to 3-6. We'll see if Melrose's success rolls on or if Litchfield are able to steal their positive momentum.
