Don Lugo has gone 8-2 against Chaffey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Conquistadores will welcome the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Chaffey will be up against a hot Don Lugo squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Conquistadores came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against Tahquitz.

The team relied heavily on Ishmael Fox, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Brown, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chaffey took on Ontario on Saturday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 3-2. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.
Jacob Venegas was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Chaffey's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 7-12 when he doesn't). Venegas was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Venegas wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Kness, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Don Lugo pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Chaffey, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.
Don Lugo came out on top in a nail-biter against Chaffey in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Conquistadores repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
