Rogers had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 4-4 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the North Smithfield Northmen. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ben Borgueta made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rogers is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-4 otherwise. Borgueta was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
