Santa Teresa unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Scotts Valley Falcons by a score of  2-1 on Tuesday. The  game was a  1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Saints couldn't quite close it out.

 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Teresa is headed away from home for the first time to  challenge  Yerba Buena  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Scotts Valley, they will venture away from home to  take on Carmel  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
