The O'Neill Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Creighton 69-42 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as O'Neill also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading O'Neill to victory were Ashley Sidak and Hannah Hilker. Sidak scored 17 points along with four steals, while Hilker scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bergyn Classen, who scored six points along with two steals.
O'Neill's victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-13. As for Creighton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. O'Neill won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Plainview will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. As for Creighton, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bees on Thursday.
