The Ramona Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season. They really took it to Hillcrest for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-11 victory on the road. With Ramona ahead 33-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ramona found their leader in underclassman Jaiden Tibbels, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Tibbels hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Akayla Chaple, who scored six points along with six steals.
Ramona's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. As for Hillcrest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramona will take on Arlington at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1245th, while Ramona is ranked 617th). As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Patriot at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Patriot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
