The Northeastern Bobcats had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Cocalico as Northeastern made off with a 52-31 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Northeastern, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Northeastern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nylah Davis out in front who scored 11 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Colleen Finnegan, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Northeastern's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Cocalico, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Northeastern will head out on the road to face off against Conrad Weiser at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cocalico will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lancaster Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th.
