Pittston won the last time they faced Berwick and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pittston Patriots put the hurt on the Berwick Bulldogs with a sharp 51-28 win. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Berwick saw an underclassman step up: freshman Abby Calarco posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Fraind, who earned five points and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Pittston and bumps their season record up to 12-3. As for Berwick, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Wyoming Valley West the next time they take the court. Berwick will host Wyoming Valley West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Pittston will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
