Baseball Recap: Ruston Snags 17th Victory in Last 19 Games

Ruston barely beat Parkway the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-3 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ruston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Parkway, their loss dropped their record down to 9-16.

Looking ahead, Ruston will face off against West Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parkway, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Natchitoches Central on the 8th.
