Temecula Valley is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Rialto is on a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Temecula Valley will welcome Rialto at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Temecula Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Capistrano Valley Christian on Friday. Temecula Valley's pitchers stepped up to hand Capistrano Valley Christian a 14-0 shutout. With that win, the Golden Bears brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Taden Krogsgaard made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other pitching news, Jamison Brack looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Temecula Valley let Ryan Recio and Rocco Pugliese run wild. Recio went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Pugliese scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Pugliese a new career-high in RBI (two). Will Bandel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Temecula Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rialto). Everything went their way against Bloomington on Monday as Rialto made off with a 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won three in a row.
Isaac Carrillo was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aydin Ayala, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Temecula Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Rialto, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
