Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Sets Scoring Season-High Against Thrive Charter

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Carroll). Everything went their way against Thrive Charter on Saturday as the Archbishop Carroll Patriots made off with a 64-44 victory.

Alexis Eberz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Eberz, who posted 11 points.

Thrive Charter's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tori Evans, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Heziah Kinston was another key player, posting ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Archbishop Carroll now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Thrive Charter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Archbishop Carroll and St. Frances Academy will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Frances Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Thrive Charter, they will challenge George School at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
