It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Venture Academy Mustangs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Waterford by a score of 56-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Venture Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Venture Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kelyiana Neal, who scored 16 points along with 9 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds.
Venture Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Waterford, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-9 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Venture Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Escalon at 3:30 p.m. on December 6th. Escalon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Waterford, they will head out on the road to face off against Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
