After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southern/Diller-Odell, Southern Valley/Alma was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Chase County Longhorns as they made off with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Southern Valley/Alma, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Eden Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since September 4th. Macy Adams also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Southern Valley/Alma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chase County only posted an OBP of .200.
With the win, Southern Valley/Alma broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-14. As for Chase County, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
