Stagg is 8-2 against the Titans since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Stagg Delta Kings will be playing at home against the Chavez Titans at 6:30 p.m. Stagg will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Stagg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They really took it to Linden for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-25 victory at home. Stagg has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
Jameelah Pharms continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 13 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Stagg's points. Kayla Ogle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chavez didn't have too much trouble with the Cougars at home on Thursday as they won 45-28. The win was just what Chavez needed coming off of a 50-21 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chavez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Yann, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yann has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alondra Romero, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Stagg pushed their record up to 18-9 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Chavez, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season.
Stagg beat the Titans 48-38 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Stagg have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
