The Apple Valley Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 31-21 to Varsity Opponent.
Despite the loss, Apple Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Jocelynn LoPorto, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points LoPorto has scored all season.
Apple Valley Christian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 113-404.
Apple Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Varsity Opponent will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Eno River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday.
