Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evans). They were the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over the Lakeside Panthers on Friday. Considering the Knights have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Bryant Rushing, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. He also brought in four RBI, which is notable because Evans is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tripp Furgeison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Evans was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was in their last eight games.

Evans now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lakeside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Evans will head out to face off against Greenbrier at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenbrier has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight losses, while Evans will come in with six straight victories. As for Lakeside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Effingham County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
