The West Tallahatchie Choctaws entered their tilt with the Simmons Blue Devils with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Tallahatchie came out on top against Simmons by a score of 58-47 on Wednesday. 58 seems to be a good number for West Tallahatchie as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Among those leading the charge was Drexel Miller, who scored 20 points. Roosevelt Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
West Tallahatchie pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Simmons, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
West Tallahatchie will play host again and welcome Leland, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Leland has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. Simmons' road trip will continue as they head out to face South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
