Highland is a perfect 10-0 against Foothill since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Scots will square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Highland came out on top against Centennial on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Scots walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Golden Hawks.
Anthony Garza made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Highland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Foothill made sure to put some runs up on the board against West on Tuesday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Vikings. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Foothill got a massive performance out of Conrado Machuca, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Machuca a new career-high. Ramon Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Foothill now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Highland, their record is now 6-2.
Foothill's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Highland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. It's a different story for Foothill, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Highland's hitters?
Highland skirted past Foothill 5-3 in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. Do the Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
