The Southland Rebels and the Schaeffer Academy Lions will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southland has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,591 points over their last 20 matches.
Last Friday, Southland strolled past the Knights with points to spare, taking the game 62-46.
Meanwhile, Schaeffer Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 65-56 win over Lyle/Pacelli. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Southland's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.9 points. As for Schaeffer Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Southland beat the Lions 57-47 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Southland repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
