Baseball Recap: Arabia Mountain Has No Trouble Against Tri-Cities

Arabia Mountain won the last time they faced Tri-Cities and things went their way on Thursday too. The Arabia Mountain Rams blew past the Tri-Cities Bulldogs 15-7. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Bryce Willingham made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Arabia Mountain let Benjamin Rentz and Landen Wood run wild. Rentz scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Wood scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Rentz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alphonso Osborne Jr, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5.

Arabia Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Arabia Mountain and bumps their season record up to 3-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10 runs. As for Tri-Cities, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arabia Mountain will face off against Chamblee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Arabia Mountain: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Chamblee has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Tri-Cities, they will take on Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tri-Cities will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
