Knight barely beat Antelope Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Knight Hawks' way against the Antelope Valley Antelopes on Wednesday as the Knight Hawks made off with a 12-0 win. The Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Phillip Escobar made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
In other batting news, Jose Garcia was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those triples were his first of the season. Ryan Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
Knight hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antelope Valley struck out ten times.
