Frontier is 2-8 against Liberty since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Frontier Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Liberty Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Frontier will be strutting in after a win while Liberty will be coming in after a defeat.
Frontier put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Stockdale with a sharp 55-29 win. The victory was familiar territory for Frontier who now have three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frontier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexis Tinnin, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Tinnin hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Lailene Araniva was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Liberty's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Centennial.
Frontier's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Frontier took a serious blow against Liberty in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 70-40. Thankfully for Frontier, Emma Fredrick (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
