The Serra Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Bravo 51-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Serra.
Serra found their leader in underclassman Kali Carter, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Carter scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachelle Thompson, who scored eight points.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Victoria Rodriguez, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jade Fernandez, who scored ten points.
Serra has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Bravo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Serra and Imperial will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Imperial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. Bravo will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Santa Fe at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th.
