Baseball Recap: Priory Has No Trouble Against Pinewood

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against More, Priory was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past Pinewood 22-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Priory needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Owen Lee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with seven RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Matthew Sun was a standout: he got on base in all six of his plate appearances with five runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Park, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Priory now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pinewood, their record now sits at 0-2.

Looking ahead, Priory will be playing in front of their home fans against Design Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinewood, they will head out on the road to take on Monta Vista at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
