The Northwest Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Seneca Valley by a score of 56-54. Northwest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Screamin' Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Seneca Valley was led to victory by Bryan Sowell and Jaysen Moise. Sowell almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Moise scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Moise hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Olanrewaju, who scored six points along with two steals.
Northwest now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Seneca Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.
Northwest will head out on the road to take on the Coyotes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Clarksburg has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 12. As for Seneca Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Cougars at 7:15 p.m. Quince Orchard is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
