The Riverdale Cowboys can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 36-27 win over Tranquillity. That's another feather in the cap for Riverdale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Riverdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Valeria Olguin led the charge by scoring ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yesenia Yslas, who scored nine points.
Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Tranquillity, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will take on Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tranquillity, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avenal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Avenal comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
