Casey Jahn has been named the U.S. Air Force National Player of the Week.
It was inevitable, but Casey Jahn finally became Arizona's career rushing leader on October 7 while leading undefeated Northwest Christian (Phoenix, Ariz.) to a 48-0 football victory over Arizona Lutheran (Phoenix, Ariz.).
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound senior running back carried 21 times for 197 yards to run his career total to 6,513 yards. The previous record of 6,506 had stood since 2005.
Jahn told Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic, "It was kind of more of a burden during the game, just thinking about it. Oh, man. It's a relief to get it over with. Not that I was worried about it. But the state championship is what it's about."
Coach Dave Inness presented the game ball to Jahn on the sideline after the game.
