Cannon is 8-2 against Providence Day since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cannon Cougars will be playing at home against the Providence Day Chargers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Cannon's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Cannon posted their biggest victory since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past Charlotte Christian 86-58 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-21.
Meanwhile, Providence Day unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Covenant Day 59-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cannon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Providence Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Cannon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Providence Day when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 66-62 victory.
