The Centurions are on a four-game streak of home losses, the Guardians a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The John Paul II Centurions will take on the John Paul II Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, John Paul II was beaten by Holy Cross 72-6. John Paul II was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-6.
Meanwhile, John Paul II pushed their score all the way to 45 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 70-45 loss at the hands of Geneva.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Levi Golla, who threw for 442 yards and five touchdowns. Tayler Rammel was another key contributor, picking up 177 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
The losses dropped the Centurions to 3-5 and the Guardians to 2-7.
The Centurions lost to the Guardians at home by a decisive 33-17 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Will the Centurions have more luck at home instead of on the road?
