Baseball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Victorious

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bishop O'Dowd and Castro Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Dragons came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 on Wednesday.

Bishop O'Dowd got a great performance from Charlie Sellman as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Sellman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lucas Partrite was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Makeig, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop O'Dowd's record is now 13-7. As for Castro Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Bishop O'Dowd will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Alameda at 7:00 p.m. As for Castro Valley, they will head out to face off against Jesse M. Bethel at 4:05 p.m. on Monday.
