Windber has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Windber focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Windber, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-49 loss to Bishop McCort.
Despite their defeat, Windber saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Angel James, who scored 10 points, was perhaps the best of all. Mariah Andrews was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Berlin Brothersvalley took a serious blow against Oakland Catholic on Saturday, falling 64-31.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Things could have been worse for Windber, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-28 loss to Berlin Brothersvalley when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Windber avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
