There's no place like home for the South Spartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over Wasco on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2016.
Wasco lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Genesis Epinosa, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Epinosa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Camila Almanza, who scored six points.
South's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Wasco, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
South will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th. Wasco will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Atascadero at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th.
