The Southwest Legacy Titans will square off against the Nixon Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Legacy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Southwest Legacy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Cigarroa, posting a 57-18 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.

Aiden Garcia had an outrageously good game as he threw for 279 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those 279 passing yards gave him a new career-high. James Ross helped Garcia out on the ground, rushing for 79 yards, while also catching one touchdown.
Southwest Legacy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Southwest Legacy's defense stepped up as well, laying out Armando Mata six times. The heavy lifting was done by Henry Hernandez and Eli Sanchez, who racked up four sacks between them. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Nixon didn't have too much trouble with South San Antonio on Thursday as they won 28-13.
Southwest Legacy better focus on containing Emiliano Hernandez and Hunter Salinas as the pair were huge in Nixon's win. Hernandez rushed for 64 yards and a pair of TDs, while Salinas threw for 134 yards and one touchdown.
Nixon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of David Cedillo and Pablo De Leon. Cedillo also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Nixon received some extra help from Cedillo, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Nixon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Southwest Legacy, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Southwest Legacy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 200.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Nixon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 155.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Southwest Legacy was able to grind out a solid victory over Nixon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 24-14. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
