There's no place like home for the Gridley Bulldogs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-39 victory over Live Oak on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Gridley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Brook Marr was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Gridley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Luevano , who scored 13 points along with six steals and five assists.
Gridley pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Live Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Gridley will square off against Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Live Oak and Wheatland will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Wheatland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
