Boron is 8-2 against Frazier Mountain since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bobcats will venture away from home to take on the Falcons at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Boron has three straight victories, Frazier Mountain has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Boron came out on top against Rosamond on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run seventh inning. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Roadrunners. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Malachi Rucker made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Jalen York was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Geordyn Rundblade, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
Boron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosamond only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Frazier Mountain lost 24-3 to Kern Valley on Tuesday.
Boron's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Frazier Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Everything went Boron's way against Frazier Mountain when the teams last played back in April, as Boron made off with a 17-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
