Meyersdale is 10-0 against Turkeyfoot Valley Area since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Meyersdale Red Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Meyersdale has not done well against Shade recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Meyersdale put the hurt on Shade with a sharp 43-20 win.
Meyersdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maci Moore, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Donaldson, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Turkeyfoot Valley Area had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Calvary Christian Academy by a score of 47-39.
Meyersdale now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Everything went Meyersdale's way against Turkeyfoot Valley Area in their previous meeting back in January as Meyersdale made off with a 63-39 victory. Will Meyersdale repeat their success, or does Turkeyfoot Valley Area have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
