In what's become a running theme this season, the Orangewood Academy Spartans gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pacifica Christian/Orange County 61-19 on the road. 61 seems to be a good number for Orangewood Academy as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Orangewood Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alissa Belen, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Maria Mejia, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Pacifica Christian/Orange County had strong showings from Lauryn Ham, who scored nine points, and Caylie Villagrana, who scored two points along with six rebounds and three steals. Villagrana is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Orangewood Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season.
