Arroyo has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hayward recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Dons will look to defend their home field against the Farmers at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Arroyo sitting on six straight victories and Hayward on five.
On Friday, Arroyo earned a 5-1 win over San Lorenzo.

Jacob Soares made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marco Carbajal, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Arroyo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Hayward got the win against Tennyson on Friday by a conclusive 21-3.
Hayward got a massive performance out of Niles Braggs, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBI. Braggs is becoming a predictor of the Farmers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-16 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ryland Bueno, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two runs.
Arroyo pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hayward, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.
Arroyo took their win against Hayward in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-3 score. Do the Dons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Farmers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
